An App for nurses and optimized for iPhone and iPad and specifically for keeping track of your nursing certifications and their expiration dates is now available. The app will automatically create a default reminder with 5 alarms before each nurse certification expiration date if you choose to turn on the reminder switch that is specific to each certification you enter. Optionally, you can add an unlimited number of alarms for each reminder. The alarms are easily added/removed by simply clicking on as many alarm dates as required on a displayed calendar. Additionally, photos may be taken of the front and/or back of each certification and can then be emailed as PDF files. Several Certs. can be designated for emailing from the home view by simply selecting them and then exporting them as PDFs with just a tap on the Upload/Export icon (... in the bottom left corner). This app is ideal for the Travel Nurse or those who need to keep up-to-date on their ACLS, BLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC, RN, credentials, certifications, licenses, and their expiration dates. App features include the ability to automatically detect and crop photos to detected rectangle shaped objects. Note that reminders and their associated alarms are saved to the local default calendar reminder database and images of the Certs are stored in the local Document folder for the app. Depending on your iCloud settings, reminders and alerts are synced to iCloud and updated across your devices. However photos taken through the App are only saved on the device locally. This app was entirely written in Swift, Apple's new programming language for iOS and OS X development, and provides support for dynamic font sizes. When you change your preferred font size in your device's Settings, the change shows immediately in the NurseCerts App.
